What is a Dash Cam
A Dash Cam is a specialised on board surveillance camera that is designed to monitor and record driving incidents. Mounted to the windscreen, the camera turns on automatically upon starting the ignition, and actively records video files. It has real time impact detection which allows the camera to store incident footage in secure location, where upon sensing an impact. The video files can be used as a supplementary evidence for insurance purposes, which can protect the driver against insurance frauds or hit and runs.
Please note that it is not always possible to fit rear cameras to some vehicles, such as Convertibles, Vans, Buses and HGV’s. Should you require installation for these vehicles please contact us Directly.

IVOLT MINI EXTERNAL BATTERY £169
Increase the duration of the Parking Surveillance mode of your THINKWARE Dash Cam with the iVolt Mini External Battery.
It allows dash cam to remain in Parking mode for up to 20 hours, or 16 hours with a rear cam added. The battery is also fully recharged in 45 minutes while driving.
Compatible with all THINKWARE Dash Cam models. The external battery requires Hardwiring Cable installation
WHAT IS A DASH CAMERA BATTERY PACK?
A Dash Cam Battery Pack is a dedicated battery designed to power the Dash Cam for an extended amount of time in Parking Mode.
Do I need to use a Dash Cam Battery Pack?
Thinkware Dash Cams offer a few different methods in which the device is powered.
All Thinkware Dash Cams come standard with a built-in voltmeter and battery protection settings to ensure you will not return to your vehicle with a dead battery. These Voltage Settings can be utilized with the Hardwiring Kit or OBD-II Harness to protect your battery when using Parking Mode.
However, If you wish to record an extended amount of Parking Footage, or if you have a Luxury Vehicle/Small Vehicle Battery the Thinkware iVolt Mini Battery Pack may be the right choice for you.

Thinkware Memory Cards (MicroSD Cards)
Fully tested and proven for Thinkware Dash Cams, Thinkware Memory Cards are designed and tested for secure data storage.
Memory cards store the video files created by your dash cam until overwritten or deleted. Your memory card needs to be in good working condition to ensure safe storage of your valuable files.
